30th September 2005.
December 1 is designated by the United Nations as World AIDS Day and across the world many activities are undertaken to highlight the issues of HIV and AIDS. The Burnet Institute, Australia's largest medical research and public health institute held its first ever World AIDS Day concert in Melbourne in 2004. It was a huge success with over 10,000 people attending giving Burnet the opportunity to educate the public about the issues of HIV and AIDS as well as to raise funds for medical research and public health programs.
This year the concert is held again at Federation Square on Sunday, November 27th, 2005.
